The Curtis Student Technology Leadership (STL) Program is a project-based learning program empowering students to learn how to incorporate the use of technology into the core curriculum. The STL program at Curtis began during the 2003-2004 school year through a grant received from the Kansas Education Department. The monies from the grant was used to purchase computer equipment, digital cameras and video cameras. The creation of a semester STL class for 8th grade was established. Our STL program has grown over the years and with each passing year becomes better and stronger. Through trail and error, we have learned what works, and what doesn’t work within our program. The need for STL students within our school led to the creation of a 7th grade STL class. Curtis is proud to offer two sections of STL, one for 7th grade students and one for 8th grade students, both year long classes! Check us out and see what’s happening at Curtis!
