The WPS Internet Development Guidelines provide procedures for the management of online services. These Internet Development Guidelines have the effect of policy and enable the district to respond to new issues in a timely manner. They will be updated fall of 2004.
In short:
- Name your pages (right-click on page, go to properties)
- Don't leave spaces in your file or folder names (the-story.htm NOT the story.htm)
- Optimize your images and keep them small
- Store your images in your images folder (you can just drag them in)
- Do not use your website for personal things, it is a school website
- You cannot copyright your work on your school website, it belongs to the district
- NEVER share your password with anyone
