In course 1,
We just completed a unit on ratios. They did a fabulous job. We have begun a new
unit on Translational Geometry. The students will work on identifying angles and
triangles, they will work with 3-D shapes and reflections, rotations and
translations.
In course 2, we just completed a unit with measurement. Our new unit is on statistics and graphing. We will gather data and put the data into graphs and charts. We will also use the data to predict out comes based on the samples we collect. Students will be able to read graph by their data and not by the way they are displayed.
All classes use the clicker technology daily to click in bell work, some
homework assignments, to
participate in the class lessons and for every pre,
post and common assessment. For every bell work assignment that receives a score
of 80% or higher, class assignment that receives a 70% or higher and every
assessment that earns an 80% score or higher receives an award for their
performance. Student performance is up on all assessments, and students receive
instant feedback and rewards daily.
At the end of February, Course 1 will be working on measurement. Course 2 will work on a unit with 2 step equations.
