Truncate Back
URL
Truncating back
the URL can often provide information about the publisher.
Steps:
- Go to the Website
- In the top Address Box, delete
the end characters of the URL stopping just before each / (leave
the slash).
- Press the Enter key.
Check for information about the author or site host.
- Continue this process, one
slash at a time, until you reach the domain name (org, edu, com,
etc.)
